When Tim Hague returns to King of the Cage Friday night in Edmonton, and takes on Jordan Tracey at “Earthquake”, the heavyweight says it will be a different man who steps in the cage. According to the 29 year-old Hague, who KO’d Craig Hudson in his last KOTC appearance, “The Thrashing Machine” has taken on a new mind set as he embarks on his eighth year of pro fighting. “A bit of a change in attitude; I’ve always been mister nice guy,” said Hague, when asked if he has a message for fans and observers as his June 7th fight with Tracey nears.

Jordan Tracey is set to fight Tim Hague at King of the Cage Canada’s “Earthquake” event this Friday in Edmonton, and considering what the UFC vet has accomplished during his career, Tracey knows he’s been handed a key opportunity. “Yeah, for sure,” Tracey said, when asked if he was excited to find out that he would face Hague, who has also scored 9 victories under the KOTC banner.

Steve Dubeck and Chris “Auto” Mattock may be at different junctures of their pro MMA careers, but both will be looking to build momentum when they fight at King of the Cage Canada’s June 7th, “Earthquake” card. The veteran Dubeck will be competing in his ninth pro bout at the event, and is hoping to build on a submission win he scored over Simon Shirt in March. Mattock, on the other hand, is hoping to rebound from a stoppage loss he suffered versus Elvis Vukaj in February, which was the welterweight’s first defeat in six amateur and pro bouts

Although Garett Davis is coming off several setbacks, including an 18 month layoff due to injuries and a loss to Elmer Waterhen, the Vancouver welterweight is certain his time as KOTC Canadian champion is not over. This Friday night at the Mirage Banquet Hall in Edmonton, Alberta, Davis will get an opportunity to prove just that, when he squares off with the newly crowned champ Waterhen for a second time. “I’ve been training since we first fought, and all I’ve been doing is a lot of kickboxing, a lot of wrestling, a lot of jiu-jitsu, a lot of strength and conditioning and a lot of proper nutrition,” said Davis, who lost by unanimous decision to Waterhen at KOTC Canada’s “Stand and Deliver” card in November.

Although Elmer Waterhen is coming off a 2012 campaign where he added not one, but two King of the Cage Canadian titles to his resume, the middleweight and welterweight champ remains as soft spoken as ever.
